This was very fun

I agree that there is something wrong in the system for this to get what is supposed to be one of the top awards on the site but this was still good. Despite being a slide show of pomeranians set to Tiny Tim, the movie still drew me in enough to watch the whole thing. For a slide show movie that says a lot. Good to see you back... after the NGA ending I was all but off of NG for a good 6 months, only to return to voting and such with the new year. This flash really was a good representation of what NG is... not everything is a work of art and some decent things are just a perfectly done mix of Tiny Tim and Pomeranians here to entertain you.

sweet little animation

This is a really nice simple movie that really stands out amoungst the normal NG fair. The black and white was very clearly done and created a nice effect. Thanks for sharing the work with us all.

Youre welcome! And of course, thank you!

My God!

To think that all the other catstaplers were all leading to this, absolutely incredible. I always voted well for the previous ones but this one really shows a transcedence of the genre. Seeing a new CatStapler in the portal after all this time gave me a warm feeling, seeing the movie was excellent.
Great work.

Quality

At first with the sound not all being on the same level I wasn't sure how this would turn out but it was pretty great. It was amusing and despite the warning, the fight scene really wasn't that big of a problem. A pack of squirrels, including the amusing cameo, was well worth seeing.
Glad you finshed it up to share.

sandman0277 responds:

Well, I put the warning in for the fight scene, incase people were expecting something along the lines of The Matrix Has You... I'm working on evening out the sound levels as we speak, and will update when I'm finished!

Not bad.

On the piece itself I'd say the hammer coudl have come down faster (a bit more action-ish). I'm split if your going to black in an earlier fade is better than a quick to black on the cue of the gunshot.

The music set a nice tone and the animation was smooth. The extras like the fun menu and the spattered Fin was also very nice. Given the quality of the overall work, a submission with multiple short scenes like this one would do very well I think. This is quality stick work.

Great but it ended....

That was fricken great... the best use I've seen for scat man on NG I think. You really had something good going with the random breaking in, and when the dancing hit, my god that was hilarious, just f-ing incredible, both the dance and reations. Then, it ended. No real wrap up with the straight-man charachters aside from one of them kinda adding to the scat. Had you wrapped it up, or, in particular extended the inital scat guy going in and out of scat/dancing, this would have been really classic, bananna-phone style.

Nice

If this is what every clock movie looked like, I would never fear seeing "clock" in a description. This was a very very nice movie, its so great seeing some of the very good clock animators making efforts to keep things alive.

Just great.

Nice work

Its obvious you put time care and effort into making this movie and it pays off. You shoudln't feel the need to sound a bit self-depreciating in the author's comments. This was a really nice artistic flash that well deserves to survive the portal.

Thanks for sharing and keep it up!

Not quite the comic

I've been reading whatever for some time now on keen and I love it. I'm not sure the flash really compares in quality of storytelling but it was still nice to see the charachters moving around. I'd like to think there is some symbolic significance behind the broken idea but its probably just a nice quick gag to see a sad chris. Nice to see it on NG where it cab be an ad too. Its a great comic that deserves to be spread around.

mattfox responds:

Thanks for the review. This wasn't originally intended to be an animation, so the translation did lose a little of the humor. Eliot thanks you for your support though. If you want to see the original comic, click on the present when it comes on screen.

Lovely animation

This was a great little story. The animation style was very distinct and a joy to watch. This is one of the better silent stories I have ever viewed here on newgrounds.
Keep sharing the great work. Thanks!
