I love these

I've been reading the comics long before I saw one of these little animations submitted to NG. I really love Reiko and her sick little world. Keep the comics and the animations coming.

TaintedInk responds:

Thanks for being a Reiko fan! I hope I can continue to produce work that you enjoy.

sweet little animation

This is a really nice simple movie that really stands out amoungst the normal NG fair. The black and white was very clearly done and created a nice effect. Thanks for sharing the work with us all.

Dralnur responds:

Youre welcome! And of course, thank you!

Quality

At first with the sound not all being on the same level I wasn't sure how this would turn out but it was pretty great. It was amusing and despite the warning, the fight scene really wasn't that big of a problem. A pack of squirrels, including the amusing cameo, was well worth seeing.
Glad you finshed it up to share.

sandman0277 responds:

Well, I put the warning in for the fight scene, incase people were expecting something along the lines of The Matrix Has You... I'm working on evening out the sound levels as we speak, and will update when I'm finished!

Great but it ended....

That was fricken great... the best use I've seen for scat man on NG I think. You really had something good going with the random breaking in, and when the dancing hit, my god that was hilarious, just f-ing incredible, both the dance and reations. Then, it ended. No real wrap up with the straight-man charachters aside from one of them kinda adding to the scat. Had you wrapped it up, or, in particular extended the inital scat guy going in and out of scat/dancing, this would have been really classic, bananna-phone style.

Not quite the comic

I've been reading whatever for some time now on keen and I love it. I'm not sure the flash really compares in quality of storytelling but it was still nice to see the charachters moving around. I'd like to think there is some symbolic significance behind the broken idea but its probably just a nice quick gag to see a sad chris. Nice to see it on NG where it cab be an ad too. Its a great comic that deserves to be spread around.

mattfox responds:

Thanks for the review. This wasn't originally intended to be an animation, so the translation did lose a little of the humor. Eliot thanks you for your support though. If you want to see the original comic, click on the present when it comes on screen.

Lovely animation

This was a great little story. The animation style was very distinct and a joy to watch. This is one of the better silent stories I have ever viewed here on newgrounds.
Keep sharing the great work. Thanks!

FREELENS responds:

thanks Tim

Good movie

I really liek this one by you, definately some tell tale signs of greater improvement. I really expected the blue guy to get beat down by the red fellows so the ending surprised me a bit in its suddeness. I think that sort of ending would have more posibilities for humor. But the surprise was fine as well.
Nice work.

wallpaperman responds:

thanks man, the original ending was a suicide bomber running in jumping on the whistler and exploding, but due to... technical difficulties (me being lazy) that could not happen :/

Quite a decent lock movie

Its clear you have some sense of how to actually have a plot/story in your movie, even if it really is very dialog driven. It has a bit of maturity many other movies do not have in terms of pacing dialog.
It did sound like there was some sort of beeping noise when eggplant was talking, that or my hearing and/or computer are going to hell.

Dragon-Lock responds:

Thanks for the review. Ya, the voice of aubergine (the eggplant lock) was very bass in pitch it other flash it's appeared in. I had worried that it wouldn't be audible. As for the beeping, i'll listen to it again and modify the wav file if the beeping is too intrusive. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.

My next lock movie will probably be more action based rather than dialoge based so i can get the movement to coincide with the audio I select for it. It should be a lot of fun to make.

Thanks!
